Caitlin Beckman

Counselor

Caitlin is returning as a Five Star Counselor for her ninth year and just can’t wait for another amazing month! Caitlin is the founding theatre teacher at KIPP Academy Middle School in Lynn, where they just wrapped up their second annual school musical, Disney’s Aladdin: Dual Language Edition.

 

Following graduation from Wagner College with a degree in Theatre Performance and Speech, she became a Walt Disney World Resort cast member, working in children’s activities, youth entertainment, and as a facilitator for the Youth Education Series.

 

After school-hours, Caitlin is an audition coach for young actors and performs locally, recently seen as Lily St. Regis in Annie and as a music duo with her brother, Patrick.

Erin Doherty

Counselor

Erin is ecstatic to return for her sixth summer as a Five Star Counselor. She began Five Star herself when she was nine. Erin graduated from Hofstra University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Dance Education.

​

This past year Erin worked at Walt Disney World as a Performer in Entertainment under the Disney College Program, fulfilling a life long dream to perform professionally! She continues to work for the company as a seasonal cast member, so she is able to go back and perform when she isn’t teaching. She can’t wait to enjoy a summer full of Disney songs!

 

Erin is overjoyed to finally be a certified K-12 dance educator in the state of New York. This coming September, Erin gets to pursue another one of her dreams. She will be starting a dance program in a public elementary school in Brooklyn New York.

Erin is excited to return home from Florida and finish her summer with the Five Star Theatre Company!

Travis Girgosian

Counselor

Travis is thrilled to be completing the trifecta with his third year as a Five Star Counselor (and eighth total at Five Star!), especially with such an awesome show as The Lion King! Travis’s favorite past Five Star shows are Shrek, Starmites, and Camp Rock, but he knows that this year’s show will be on that list too.

 

Outside of Five Star, Travis is a student at UMass Amherst where he is a Biology major, Psychology minor, and is on the pre-med track, as well as being in the Honors program. As if academics didn’t keep him busy enough, Travis is also a research assistant in a biology lab, where he uses zebrafish as a model organism to study brain development. He is also one of the two business managers of the UMass Doo Wop Shop, UMass’s oldest and only all male- identifying a cappella group, who recorded an album earlier this summer!

 

Travis is also currently training to be an EMT and to join the UMass EMS squad. Above all else, Travis can’t wait for an excellent summer and an excellent show with you all

Caroline Hagan

Counselor

Caroline is back for her fourth year as a Five Star Theatre Counselor. She is a  rising senior at Bentley University, pursuing a degree in accountancy. Even at a school with only business majors, she still finds theatre! At Bentley, she is an active member and has held executive board positions in Alpha Psi Omega, National Theatre Honor Society. This year, she played the role of Heather Chandler in their production of, Heathers: The Musical.

 

As a past Five Star participant, avid RMHS Drama Club performer, and active RMHS choral member, Caroline cannot wait to once again share her passion and enthusiasm with all of the participants this summer!

Mary Margaret Hogan

Counselor

Mary Margaret is thrilled to be returning for another summer at Five Star! A 2018 graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Mary Margaret earned her degree in English and Theater as a double major with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

 

Within her final year at UMass, she directed Peter and the Starcatcher and acted as the Marketing Executive for the UMass Theatre Guild. She has held roles such as the Baker's Wife (Into the Woods), Paulette (Legally Blonde) and soon will reprise the role of Margaret White in Arts After Hours’ production of Carrie: The Musical.

 

Mary Margaret recently finished directing E.E. Little Elementary’s spring production of The Little Mermaid Jr. and acts as the drama specialist at Camp Fire in Salem. She is also a substitute teacher for Reading Public as well as an acting and improv instructor at Venturing Theatricals.

 

After spending last year working as a cast member at Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World, Mary Margaret JUST CAN’T WAIT to share her love of Disney and The Lion King with the Five Star Pride!

Maura Kolhonen

Counselor

Maura is thrilled to be returning to Five Star for her fifth year as a Counselor! Maura is a 2018 graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she double majored in Communication and English and was a student in the Commonwealth Honors College.

 

Last August, she traveled to Walt Disney World in Florida to participate in the Disney College Program for five months during the fall session. Since then, she has worked as a substitute teacher, and she is currently working towards becoming a certified group fitness instructor through the American Council on Exercise.

 

Spending six years as a participant, Five Star introduced Maura to the world of theatre when she was ten years old, and she has been hooked ever since. She has appeared in shows with The Five Star Theatre Company, Peabody Veterans Memorial High School’s Stage One, and the UMass Theatre Guild. One of her favorite roles includes playing “Ted” in the UMass Theatre Guild’s production of Peter and the Starcatcher. Maura could not be more excited to share what she knows with this season’s participants and to have some fun!

Lindsay McGovern

Counselor

Lindsey is so excited for another summer of Five Star fun! Lindsey graduated from Reading Memorial High School in 2011 and Salem State University in 2015 with a major in dance. She is the owner and director of Enchanted Dance Academy in Winchester, which she opened in 2017. There she teaches dance classes for ages 2-18 in all styles (ballet, pointe, contemporary, lyrical, acrobatics, tap, jazz, musical theatre, and hip-hop).

 

Lindsey is also  the  choreographer for Coolidge Middle School’s annual musical and for Venturing Theatricals (Reading), where she teaches musical theatre and tap dance classes for both kids and adults! Lindsey dances and performs for Kaleidoscope Dance Company, a Boston-based contemporary dance company and has recently begun a new dance collaboration titled Vitality Dance Project. She was most recently seen on stage at the Salem Arts Festival dancing “tiny dance” with her duet partner. Lindsey can’t wait for Lion King Jr.!

Kyle Mungenast

Counselor

Kyle Mungenast is an award-winning student filmmaker currently pursuing a BFA in Film and Media Arts at the University of Tampa with a focus on Screenwriting.

 

This Spring, Kyle interned with Southern Legacy Productions and worked on two films which were produced by and aired on the Hallmark Channel: Love in the Sun and True Love Blooms. Kyle also worked as an Art Assistant on the feature film Hot Mess in a Wedding Dress. Kyle is currently working on a documentary about roller coaster enthusiasm, along with a collaborative student narrative short film, In Absentia, which Kyle wrote the screenplay for and was the production designer for.

 

Kyle has also been active in theater, music, and acting for years, performing with the North Shore Music Theatre, the RMHS Drama Club, and also as a participant of Five Star. Kyle is thrilled to be returning as a Five Star Counselor and is psyched for The Lion King Jr!

Allie O'Brien

Counselor

Allie is thrilled to be returning to Five Star as a Counselor for her third year this summer! A 2016 graduate of RMHS and a rising senior at Merrimack College, Allie is studying Human Development and Elementary Education with hopes of teaching after graduating. She is highly involved with the student run theatre organization at Merrimack, serving as Vice President of the OnStagers Dramatic Society. She is also a member of one of the acapella groups on campus titled Measure Up. She can’t wait to work with everyone involved in Five Star this summer and put on a great show!

Antonio Ruiz Nokes

Counselor

Antonio is thrilled to return to Five Star as a Counselor after having participated for two years. He is a rising freshman who will be studying Music Education and Vocal Performance at Northwestern University.

 

At Reading Memorial High School he was a committed member of both the choral and drama programs, having served as the president of the all-male a cappella group The Crescendudes, the Secretary of the Mixed Choir, and having participated in 11 drama productions both on and off the stage.

 

Outside of school he has sung in the Reading Community Singers, Massachusetts All-State Chorus, and the All-Eastern Honors Mixed Chorus. For the past two summers he has assistant directed shows at Creative Arts. He looks forward to making many more musical memories at Five Star this summer.

Emily Cain

Counselor

Emily is ecstatic to be returning this summer to Five Star in her first year as a Counselor! Emily graduated from Reading  Memorial High School in 2018 and attended Pace University in New York City for this past year as a Biology Pre-Med major with a minor in Neuroscience. In the fall, Emily will be transferring to the University of Tampa, continuing her studies in the medical sciences and pursuing her passion for theatre.

 

During her time at the high school, Emily was extremely involved in the RMHS Drama Club, participating in a total of 13 productions throughout her four years. She also was an active member of the RMHS choral department, holding leadership positions in both chorus and drama.

 

Some of Emily’s favorite roles include, “The Goose” in the RMHS production of Charlotte’s Web, “Donatella” in the RMHS production of the Wedding Singer, and a Princess in the Five Star production of the Little Mermaid! Emily is thrilled to be back at doing what she loves: Musical Theatre!!

Ryan Norton

Counselor

Ryan is an incoming Freshman at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee where he will be majoring in Musical Theatre Performance.

 

Ryan is very excited to return to Five Star as a Counselor, having participated for five years as he portrayed exciting roles like Buddy the Elf. He is also a veteran of the RMHS Drama Club where he portrayed roles like Leading Player 2 (alongside counselor Isabel Molettieri) in Pippin. He was also very lucky to direct the show Selfie during his Senior year. Ryan participated in the RMHS Mixed Choir as Secretary and Librarian, as well as the male acapella group, the Crescendudes!

 

Ryan cannot wait to share his passion for the Arts with so many wonderful and talented students this summer!

Isabel Molettieri

Counselor

Isabel is so excited to be a part of Five Star as a counselor for her first year! Isabel participated in Five Star for 7 summers as a child and it was always the highlight of her year.

 

A recent graduate of RMHS, Isabel participated in both the RMHS Drama and Chorus programs. Some of her favorite shows were Mamma Mia, Pippin, and The Twelve Dancing Princesses. Later this summer, you can catch Isabel alongside many Five Star participants in Frozen Jr. with Venturing Theatricals!

 

Next year, she plans to continue to pursue her passions as a Theatre and Music major and dance minor at Muhlenberg College. She is so excited for this year’s production and to spend a great month with so many talented young artists!

Zac Melagrano

Counselor

Zac is ecstatic for his first year as a Counselor at Five Star! Zac is an incoming Freshman at Becker College as a Video Game Design Major. As a graduate of RMHS, he was an active participant in the high school drama club serving as Secretary. He also was very active in the RMHS Mixed Choir, Crescendudes, Improv, and Playwriting.
