Jingle-ology 101, Antonio Ruiz-Nokes

In this workshop, campers worked collaboratively to write and perform short jingles for household items. We discussed group singing, both onstage and in the choir, and the most important aspects of each. Then, we talked about jingles, considering familiar examples and what makes them successful. In groups, campers went to work sketching, writing, and singing out their ideas before finally coming together to perform. The exercise emphasized the value of the individual voice in forming a group sound, an important idea that campers will take with them as The Lion King unfolds!
