Miss Killian was also resident Music Director for the RMHS Drama Club where she musically directed all of the club’s shows since 1997. While she has officially retired, she is delighted to be coming back this fall to music direct Chicago; High School Edition with her longtime directing partner, William Endslow while resident director Natalie Cunha enjoys maternity leave.
Miss Killian received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Lowell, her Masters Degree in Education [Lesley University], and her Administrative License from the Merrimack Academy. She brings over forty years of experience in community and educational theatre to The Five Star Theatre Company, where she has been Music Director since its 1993 production of Annie.
Miss Killian loves working with all the great kids, staff, and Counselors at Five Star. Having grown up in a musical family and spending summers performing in musicals with her three siblings, Miss K loves to see the fun kids have here at Five Star and is always thrilled to work with the staff and Counselors.
Miss K dedicates this summer’s show to her Dad - Mr. Wayne L. Killian, not just her parent but her musical mentor, too. While she didn’t realize it at the time, watching him conduct the pit orchestra for Masconomet’s musicals when she was a little girl was surely the beginning of her life-long love affair with musical theatre. THANK YOU, DAD! I have no idea where I would be without you. I love you so much!
